This is the story of the year 2000. One business delegation was scheduled to go to Sri Lanka which was being organized by Global Network, an international trade consulting & training firm. At that time one girl
approached Sunil Lakhani of Global Network , Rajkot saying 'I wish to join the Delegation ...'

He felt that this is not possible for a 20 year old age girl.He asked her "What you are doing ? For what purpose you are planning to join" ? She Replied I am a Proprietor of Satyam Exports. I would like to export sanitary wares to Sri Lanka. And he advised her that without knowledge, it is not easy to export. "First you learn about export than we will discuss..."

She joined a course of international trade management of Global Network and achieved a Diploma Degree ,,,Today she is an established Exporter. At the age of 24 years !She is Vaishali Rindani .In the last three years she received export orders worth millions.

She has supplied many goods as per order by her single hand without any office infrastructure. Perhaps, she is only such girl in Gujarat or maybe in India !

In the year 2001, Vaishali went to Bangladesh with Global Network in their business delegation.

She says: "I had to supply water sprinklers, in that order I earned 11,000 rupees."

Although every thing was not completed normally. Water sprinkler that she had supplied had some manufacturing defects by the factory. Though she didn't have the consignment back. But the person who bought the sprinkler sold it to somebody else.

In the same year she got order from Sri Lanka for Tea packing machine & she supplied. that company in Sri Lanka blamed that the machine, which she had supplied, was damaged due to poor packing by factory and they will not accept the machines and will file the case again her. Vaishali said that at that time she was admitted in hospital due to a viral fever. I use to come with glucose bottles to home and used to email to the concerned party. At that time Global Network helped me a lot. Ultimately I had solved the problem.

By this time Vaishali had supplied Iron Ore also. But due to price fluctuations she was unable to complete some shipments.

She says: "When I received a 22 dollar LC for Iron Ore in my hand, at that time rate of Iron Ore zoomed to 30 dollar. I had exported Iron Ore for around one year. But it didn't please me, so I left that work. I made some loss also in that business.

Vaishali got an export order worth US$ 86,000 in Canada for Mineral Water Plant. She faced maximum hurdles to fulfill that order. It was a Canadian party. She had sent the catalog two years before. All of a sudden in March-2004 he gave her an order. He came to Chennai. After going though the factory where the machinery was made he had doubled the order.

That was the main time when Vaishali had big trouble. Order was huge and the bank denied to issue the bank guarantee which was required to get the LC. She conveyed the message to the Chairman of the bank & he asked about collateral security.

"I was living in a rented house , how is it possible for us to stretch the huge finance?

By personal efforts we collected Rs. Five Lac and finally, I got Letter Of Credit".

Then , the Manufacturer of the plant from Chennai had started follow up for collection of his payments worth Rupees twenty five lac which was a huge amount too.

That time was tough for Vaishali , "I borrowed Rupees sixteen lacs cash from my father who had received it from his VRS scheme. Rest all post dated cheques and Bank Guarantee was given. I received very good support from sunilbhai.

While these arrangements were going on , the ordering party in Canada was asking about the date you are going to make the shipment otherwise order will be cancelled. So I had stayed almost for 45 days in hennai for shipment procedures. Finally , successfully shipment was finished and I got the money .By this way she is in a supremely confident position.

"Although, during 2001 , I was under depression due to no orders coming from anywhere".

My mother was telling me to change the business line and start to go for further education or you get married ..she replied to mother that I am on the middle order line of the business, Now, how it is possible to go back ? I would like to achieve my Goal ?

No way at all....she said.

Vaishali's father was in her favor , he told : "than let her to do the hard work , and leave rest all on luck"

Presently , Vaishali is doing very well and is in a good position too. She is doing her business from home , getting the orders through computer-Internet . She has exported several orders like sanitary tiles to Abdul Rahim Khaitan of Yemen even though they have not met and not seen each other.

When Abdul Khaitan calls her, he used to speak as "Mr. Rindani", till date thinking that "She" is a male.

According to Vaishali, she doesn't need any office space, if some buyer comes for meeting, then she will invite them at Sunil Lakhani's office of Global Network . And further Vaishali says that she is in the process of getting a 1 million US dollars order.

This girl is so self esteemed that even Sunilbhai of Global Network offered her to join the company, but she refused.

She says that she wants to work herself only, and she will export only and attract the entire world towards India.

In short for Vaishali, you can say : " Rok sako to rok lo " / "Stop me if you can.. !"
