1. Jagat Shah is an International Trade Management Consultant & a trainer cum practitioner of cluster development approach ; in Practice of Management Consultancy & Training in the field of International Trade & cluster development. He is a certified management consultant ( CMC ) & a UNIDO certified cluster development practitioner.
2. He has a bachelor's degree in Commerce from Delhi University and Master's degree in Management ( M B A ), specialising in the subject of International Marketing & economics. He holds a Diploma in Diamond Technology from Indian Diamond Institute ( I D I).
3. He has been in the international trade profession for 22 years - First in an American multinational company & then in a multinational Chinese Trading Company. He has traveled to 44 countries on marketing trips.
4. He promoted a firm Global Network in 1996 , as an international trade consulting firm . The firm acts as consultants to top management of corporates & SME’s in areas of Strategy Formulation for Exports-Imports; international market research ; Business Policy on International Trade; Advise on International Marketing; In - Company training for developing international marketing infrastructure ; Joint Ventures; Sourcing, Presentations, and Technology Transfer .
5. His firm acts as a change agent to improve its clients' performance & profitability by identifying true customer needs and servicing those specific needs to keep them ahead of the competition.

The clientele of Global Network includes many of the top corporates of India, Canada, China, South Africa and covers the range from Textile products to agro products and engineering products to consumer goods .Jagat Shah has special skills in Global Marketing of diverse products - with a network of active associates in many countries.
7. Global Network takes 6-8 business delegations out of India every year & hosts delegations from foreign countries to India for organising one to one business meetings. Till date Global Network has taken 82 professionally planned business delegations abroad.

10. In 2002 he started an NGO : www.clusterpulse.org for implementation of cluster development projects in India & abroad. Cluster Pulse is an ISO certified economic development agency focused on hand holding SME's through cluster development innovations. CP facilitates economic development of regions, clusters & firms through interventions in backward & forward linkages. Cluster Pulse has worked in 82 clusters in countries like USA, Canada, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, Brazil, Brunei, China, Oman, Croatia & India. We have worked with UNIDO, GTZ, USAID, The Commonwealth Secretariat, DFID, IFC, World Bank, ILO, Microsoft & NOKIA. Internationally we have worked for Govt. of Manitoba-Canada, Govt. of Oman, Govt. of Croatia, Govt. of Brunei, Govt. of Ras-Al-Khaimah in their economic development programs. We are the project implementation agency of Govt. of India, through its various ministries like Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Communications and several provincial Govt. 11. In 2008 he started a microfinance company : microfintech which not only lends to needy but also trains them on business & services and connects them to Indian & foreign markets for sales of their products & services.
12. In 2009 he was appointed as the trade representative of Govt. of Manitoba, Canada in India.
13. Jagat Shah is a business columnist and regularly writes in business & general press. His articles on international trade & cluster development are flashed by REUTERS.
14. He is a visiting faculty on cluster development & International Marketing in many MBA colleges in India, China, Canada & South Africa.
15. He was retained by The Textiles Committee, Ministry Of Textiles, Government Of India for international linkages program in 20 textile clusters in India.
16. He is the Trustee of N L Zaveri Charitable Trust . He is a ROTARIAN.
